To get into the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences you have to be accepted by RIT and by the department. RIT focuses on the grades, test scores, etc, while the department requires a good portfolio. Try to go to a national portfolio day nearby, they can accept your portfolio there, and you'll save yourself a potentially expensive trip to visit campus.

I took extra Science and Math classes in High School to try and get ahead for my major Biomedical Engineering. Have over a 3.0 GPA and score close to the 600s in Critical Reading and Writing and in the 600s for Math and you should have no problem getting in to RIT.
